Innolux is to showcase an array of smart wearable and household devices as well as VR head-mounted devices at the upcoming Touch Taiwan 2018 to be held in Taipei from August 29-31.
At the company's "Hi Display! Smart Home" pavilion, Innolux will highlight the world's first smartwatch featuring a flexible OLED display, said Natasha Chen, associate director of mobile products at the panel maker.
The smartwatch features a 1.39-inch flexible OLED display with a resolution of 400 by 400 pixels, built using a LTPS process at Innolux, Chen revealed, adding that the company is also working on a slew of flexible OLED-based wearable devices due to be announced later.
Innolux will also exhibit a sports watch featuring HRMD (high reflective memory display) technology developed in house. HRMD-based display products, which boast high reflective effects and low power consumption, are ideal for production of smart outdoor and other wearable devices, Chen said.
The exhibits will also include an 8-inch WXGA display and a 3-inch curve display for voice assistant devices. The displays, built on Innolux's TID (touch in display) technology, supports built-in smart voice assistant applications and can be connected with smartphones and other apps for remote control.
Innolux will also showcase its 10.1-inch TID-based Mirror Film products for smart home applications and high-resolution VR LCD displays for VR applications.
